I studied Medicine at Newcastle University in the United Kingdom and completed my Foundation Programme in Sunderland, followed by General Practice Vocational Training in Hampshire. I hold a BSc in Biomedical Science, an MBBS with Distinction, a Diploma in Child Health, and am a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP).
I am a UK-trained doctor with 19 years of clinical experience, including over 14 years working as a General Practitioner across NHS, private healthcare, and international settings in Saudi Arabia. My experience spans comprehensive primary care, preventive health screening, and chronic disease management, alongside involvement in clinical governance, audit, and medical education.
I have also held leadership roles in developing clinical guidelines, medication safety initiatives, and Continuing Medical Education programmes. My approach to practice is patient-centred, evidence-based, and team-oriented, with a strong commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care across diverse healthcare systems.
My professional interests include adult medicine, mental health, health screening and promotion, and quality and patient safety. I believe that listening to and addressing what matters most to each patient is central to effective care.
I speak English and Wollof (spoken in The Gambia and Senegal). Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and spending time with my family.
