Cosmetic Surgery Quotation

 

The quotation provided to you is based on the discussion held during your consultation and the clinical information available at the time of assessment.

 

Your quotation includes:

• Pre assessment checks and investigations, to be completed at least two weeks prior to your procedure

• Surgeon, anaesthetist, and hospital fees for the agreed procedure 

• Overnight stay at GibMed International Hospital 

• Standard post operative follow up appointments 

• Two post-surgery compression sports bras (for breast surgery)

 

Unless otherwise stated in writing, the quotation does not include:

• Additional or revision procedures not discussed or quoted during the initial consultation 

• Treatment for unrelated medical conditions 

• Prescription medications supplied outside the hospital 

• Additional investigations requested after consultation 

• Overnight stays beyond those clinically anticipated 

• Costs arising from non-compliance with post operative instructions 

• Cosmetic revision procedures requested due to subjective dissatisfaction with aesthetic outcome 

 

All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise specified in writing.

 

Booking and Payment

 

A non-refundable deposit of £1,000 is required to secure your surgery date. This deposit contributes towards theatre reservation, consultant scheduling, staffing allocation, administrative preparation, and loss of opportunity to allocate the surgical slot to another patient.

As operating dates are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis, payment of the deposit is required promptly to confirm your booking.

 

Full payment must be received no later than one month prior to the procedure, in accordance with the hospital’s payment terms.

 

Failure to make payment by the requested date may result in cancellation of surgery.

 

The deposit remains strictly non-refundable in all circumstances, including patient cancellation, postponement, change of mind, medical unsuitability identified during assessment, or failure to comply with preoperative requirements.

 

Cancellation and Rescheduling

 

GibMed allocates significant clinical, operational, theatre, staffing, and accommodation resources in preparation for cosmetic surgery procedures. Once a procedure date has been confirmed, these resources are reserved exclusively for the patient.

 

For this reason, patients are strongly advised to proceed with booking only when fully committed to the proposed procedure and surgery date.

Where a patient chooses to cancel or postpone surgery after booking confirmation, the following charges will apply:

Requests to postpone surgery are treated as cancellations of the original booking and may incur the same charges.

​

Where surgery is cancelled or postponed due to non-compliance with medical advice, including smoking, vaping, alcohol or drug use, medication non-disclosure, or failure to complete required investigations, the above charges will still apply.

 

Any refunds approved by GibMed will be processed within a reasonable administrative timeframe and may be subject to deduction of costs already incurred.

Medical Suitability

​

All procedures are subject to satisfactory medical assessment. GibMed reserves the right to postpone or decline treatment if it is considered not to be in the patient’s best medical interests or if new medical information becomes available.

​

Patients are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and honest medical history information prior to surgery.

​

Patients may be required to stop smoking, vaping, nicotine replacement use, alcohol consumption, or certain medications prior to surgery.

 

Failure to comply with preoperative instructions may result in cancellation or postponement of surgery, and cancellation charges may apply.

GibMed reserves the right to decline treatment where patient safety may be compromised by smoking status, body weight, medical conditions, medication use, or non-compliance with clinical advice.

Cosmetic Surgery Outcomes

 

Cosmetic surgery outcomes are inherently individual and subjective. While every effort is made to achieve the desired surgical result, no guarantee can be provided regarding aesthetic appearance, symmetry, scarring, healing, or patient satisfaction.

Healing responses vary between individuals and final results may take several months to fully develop.

The need for revision surgery does not automatically indicate clinical negligence or treatment failure.

Any additional or revision procedures recommended or requested following surgery may incur further charges unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

Post Operative Care

 

Patients must follow all post-operative instructions provided by the surgeon and hospital. Failure to attend follow up appointments or comply with aftercare advice may affect recovery and surgical outcomes.

Additional consultations, investigations, admissions, or treatment required as a result of non-compliance may incur further charges.

​

Standard post operative follow up care is included as outlined within your quotation. Any additional treatment outside the agreed follow up pathway may be chargeable.

Our Client Promise of Care

​

Every surgical procedure carries some level of risk. GibMed is committed to providing safe, ethical, and compassionate care throughout your experience, from consultation and surgery through to recovery and follow up care.

​

Acute post-operative complications directly related to the procedure, such as clinically confirmed infection or bleeding requiring medical intervention within the immediate recovery period, will be treated by GibMed at no additional hospital charge, provided the patient has complied with all medical advice and follow up requirements.

 

This commitment does not include:

​

• Cosmetic dissatisfaction 

• Elective revision procedures 

• Long term scar management 

• Treatment sought outside GibMed without prior agreement 

• Complications arising from non-compliance with medical advice 

• Costs relating to travel, accommodation, or loss of earnings 

 

Clinical Photography and Records

​

Clinical photographs may be taken before and after treatment for medical documentation, treatment planning, and clinical governance purposes. These records will be stored securely and managed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

 

Separate written consent will be obtained for any use of photographs for educational or marketing purposes.

 

Surgeon and Hospital Availability

 

GibMed reserves the right to postpone procedures due to unforeseen clinical, operational, staffing, or technical circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including surgeon illness, equipment failure, or emergency clinical priorities.

 

In such circumstances, GibMed’s liability shall be limited to rescheduling the procedure or refunding monies paid for services not yet delivered.

 

Consent and Cooling Off Period

GibMed encourages all patients to take appropriate time to consider their decision before proceeding with cosmetic surgery.

​

Surgery will only proceed where valid informed consent has been obtained and the treating clinician is satisfied that the patient fully understands the risks, benefits, limitations, and alternatives to treatment.

​

Patients may withdraw consent at any stage prior to surgery.

​

Limitation of Liability

 

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such limitation would be unlawful.

Subject to applicable law, GibMed shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses including loss of earnings, travel costs, accommodation expenses, emotional distress not arising from recognised clinical negligence, or costs incurred through third party treatment providers without prior agreement.

​

Governing Law

​

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Gibraltar.

 

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Gibraltar courts.
